What separates those who achieve from those who don't, is in direct proportion to one's ability to ask for help.

Nobody Succeeds Alone

The truth is that nobody succeeds alone. Although we often hear people expound on the virtues of the self-made individual, it is a myth! To be successful it is necessary to find good mentors and, in this day and age, using an executive coach will put you on the fast track. The bottom line is: it’s essential for anyone with career aspirations to have a supportive environment where they can share their concerns and come away with clarity and concrete action steps. After all, coaching is about developing skills, practicing new behaviors and taking action.

  • Do you have a problem being heard?
  • Are others getting promotions or larger salary increases than you?
  • Do you feel like a “worker bee” rather than a manager?
  • Are you on the outside rather than in the loop?

The coaching forum allows your specific concerns to be heard. The Agenda is that of the participants, not the coach. The reason is only you know what issues are important to you at any given time. This is also one of the reasons coaching is so effective. We talk about issues that are relevant and work together to find solutions that are best for you.

"This was fantastic... it challenged me to look at my situation in a different way and to make some positive changes. I'd highly recommend it." KJ

"I didn't realize all the things I was learning until I looked back. I've better management skills, improved relationships, I've found a new mentor and now understand the importance of taking a leadership role." PF

Your Coaches

John Agno and Barb McEwen, both Master Executive Coaches, have come together to offer this opportunity because they recognize the need to support women in climbing their corporate ladder. They know the dynamics of glass ceilings.

As executive coaches, both Barb and John hear stories by smart, committed and competent women who tell of the challenges they routinely encounter in the workplace. They mention discrimination at the work place. Of the glass ceiling and HR.

Their message is that they need a confidential sounding board to air their concerns -- a place where their perceptions and anticipated actions are either supported or challenged.

The Coaching Club

In this setting, like-minded women come together to be coached and to learn by listening to other women’s concerns. Questions are encouraged. If you don’t get an answer on the evening in question due to lack of time, simply drop us an e-mail and we’ll get back to you.

IMPORTANT: If you don’t get an answer on the evening in question due to lack of time, simply drop us an e-mail or set up a time for either John or Barb to give you a FR*EE 10 minute coaching session.

We work hard, we stay late, we are productive, we offer suggestions for improvement, we are supportive team players and we have good relationships … and still we are overlooked when it comes to promotions or challenging assignments. What more does a woman have to do?

The answer is,

These are intelligent, committed and hard working women and they are valued for their technical expertise; however, they miss out on the many subtle expectations. What they need to do is learn the ‘invisible rules’.

How Does It Work?

These sessions are done by teleconferencing -- so you can participate from the office, the comfort of your home or from anywhere in the world. Upon registration a bridge number and access code will be provided. A headset is encouraged to free you up to take notes. An executive coaching format will be followed where purposeful dialogue and probing questions will be used to enhance the learning experience. A minimum 2-month commitment is all that is required. A minimum 2-month commitment is all that is required but many will choose to stay involved for several months.

"Women need more courses like this. Men and women certainly do things differently and have different expectations. Having both John and Barb to bounce ideas off was great. Wish I had know all this years ago." ES

In Support of Women

Most women are unaware of the mistakes they make, all of which fuels wrong perceptions. In our opinion, women need to be given straight talk about how to navigate the corporate terrain. They also want to put some time and energy into the development of their signature strengths, recognizing their “blind spots” and knowing how to develop a personal leadership style and strategy.

Barb and John have helped hundreds of women learn the Invisible Rules of Success. Their goal is to guide as many women as possible toward success on their own terms. We hope you will consider being part of this exciting initiative.

By participating, you will receive the following tools:

  • Personal Development Plan format
  • Key Articles written by John & Barb
  • The Fore-thought Check List
  • Effective Listening Skills
  • Key Leadership Competencies
  • Creating Your Management Style

If in Doubt

Are you uncertain whether joining us would be beneficial, please take our FR*EE Women’s Coaching Questionnaire. Your score will help you decide.

A Bonus

A FREE PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT is included to enable you to begin to see yourself and others more clearly. Being aware of the effects of your personality upon others will help you fine-tune both your communication and leadership style. This does many things.

  • It allows you to control impulses and key into potentially self-limiting behaviors. You will learn to use techniques that will help you select the most appropriate actions.
  • You will also learn to identify your own signature strengths and understand your limitations. By doing so you will become more aware of the needs of others and how to become a more effective leader.
  • By practicing the “art of the question,” you are able to delve into issues and learn effective listening skills. This will afford you the opportunity to reduce conflict both in yourself and others.

Why Executive Coaching?

Driving the trend for executive coaching is that managers need help to effectively address performance and behavioral issues in order for their company to stay competitive. Whether your organization pays or you invest in your own career development, it is important that you consider this opportunity.

The entire process is strictly confidential and by its very nature helps participants create the change required to move them towards their goals.

If you have any questions, simply email Barb or email John now. Ask them about their business coaching, consulting, and executive services.
